There are good fishing waters around Vålådalen. Few activities are as relaxing, but at the same time as exciting, as fly fishing in Vålån on a late summer evening.
Fishing luck
You might catch a nice one-kilogram trout, or maybe a beaver will come gliding through the clear water.
Children can try their luck at fishing in the easily accessible Mellandalstjärn and Hästskotjärn lakes. If you want wide views, the Midaftonssjöarna lakes on Ottfjället are an option. Don’t miss the classic Storån, known for its fine stock of large grayling and trout. But hold on to your stuff. This is where the action can really get going!
If you want to hike on almost invisible trails and be away from civilization for a few days, you can go south from Vålådalen, where the lakes lie like a string of pearls in the forest – Stubbtjärn, Finnångeltjärnarna and finally, at the foot of the mountains, Lunndörrstjärnarna. If you want to try your luck fishing in flowing water, you can follow Lunndörrsån back.

Fishing licenses are purchased at www.natureit.se. You who fish – Take your trash and garbage home. – Do not start a fire without adequate safety measures. Find out what rules apply in the Nature Reserve. – Always have a valid fishing license.
