Gunders mosse, Ottfjället, Nulltjärn, Blanktjärnsrundan, Pyramiderna… Mythical names for those who enjoy running. Vålådalen is the perfect place for trail running in a fantastic mountain environment. There are many kilometers of running tracks and mountain trails to choose from. Our trail map brings together some of the favorites.
Ever since the days of Gunder Hägg in the 1940s, talented runners have trained in Vålådalen. In addition to trail running, there are opportunities for track intervals and running technique on the sports field, strength intervals on the marsh and hill intervals along the Interval Trail.
Training camps and weekends are organized throughout the season. We also have affordable offers if you want to organize your own training weekend.

Practical
Vålådalen Mountain Station offers fantastic training opportunities and experiences for you as a runner. We know trail running and have picked out some gems for you.
The facility includes a sports field, roller ski track, gym and sports hall. For groups we offer guided tours, talk to our sports department. After your tour, it’s nice to have a shower and a simple meal, talk to our staff in our Trail Center Café where you can also rent or buy some supplies and equipment. Here are some of the most popular trails.
The zero tar round
Length: 8 km
A nice and easy walk in birch forest.
Beaver hook
Length: 15 km
Forest running with historical elements.
The Blanktjärn round
Length: 12.5 km
The destination of the tour is the magical emerald green lakes.
Ottfjällstoppen
Length: 10 km
660 meters of altitude that pays off in the form of magnificent views of the mountains in the Vålådalen nature reserve.
Ice Valley – Pyramids
Length: 32 km
Long hike to Pyramiderna, the trail winds through birch forest to Issjödalen where the bare mountain begins. Note: It is not permitted to enter the Pyramids themselves.
